Pride Month is presented in many ways at the start of summer. This annual celebration and recognition of the LGBTQ + the quest for community acceptance and its contributions to society have elicited many colored tributes, including new products such as Kellogg’s Together with pride and the inspired rainbow flag Lego Everyone is awesome together.

One of the most visible tributes to date will take place in sports on June 5, when the MLB San Francisco Giants wear shirts and hats that honor the LGBTQ + community during the team’s game against the Chicago Cubs at Oracle Park. “The San Francisco Giants will kick off Pride Month by wearing an SF Pride Patch logo on the right sleeve of their home shirt and a custom cap that incorporates the pride colors into the SF newspaper,†the team shared on his Twitter account, which also featured the new team logo created for Pride Month as a profile picture.

This move marks the first time an MLB team will display the pride colors during a game.

The standard Giants cap logo, which features the iconic ‘SF’ intertwined throughout Orange, has been redesigned to reflect the colors of the Pride flag.

The new logo reflects the pride flag, which contains 11 colors: the original rainbow hues of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple, as well as black and brown to honor LGTBQ + people of color and light blue, pink and white to recognize transgender people.

“We are extremely proud to support the LGBTQ + community as we launch one of the best annual celebrations in San Francisco honoring the countless accomplishments and contributions of all who identify as LGBTQ + and are allies of the LGBTQ + community” , Giants CEO Larry Baer said.
