Katie Holmes stayed comfortable and relaxed while grabbing a bite to eat alongside boyfriend Bobby Wooten III in New York on Sunday.
Pictured in a new-season APC intarsia knit sweater, Holmes rolled up her rib-knit sleeves for the summer stroll. The sweatshirt comes from the men’s collection and turns out to be a fluid and assertive piece. Intarsia is a technique of knitting different colors together to create patterns that fit together like a puzzle.
From the crew neck to the chest area, a soft red hue blends into the beige, which then transitions to a beige color. The neckline and straight hem are also ribbed.
The “Batman Begins” star styled the top with oversized black skater-inspired pants. Bottom details include front-facing pockets and inward-facing slits at the hem.
Holmes accessorized with a brown leather shoulder bag that brought out the accent color of her sweater while complementing her latte colors.
The “Dawson’s Creek” alum wore a blue mask pulled down around his chin, a fortuitous staple for the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. To add to the reality of the occasion, Holmes pulled her hair back into a loose bun and stripped her face of any visible makeup.
Based on the outline of Holmes’ shoes, she appears to be wearing a retro-inspired sneaker. The old school aesthetic has made a big comeback due to today’s fashion nostalgia for decades past. Dad sneakers have a sporty and functional look, pairing well with any casual ensemble.
Wooten followed in Holmes’ footsteps and sported a dark gray jacket over a basic white t-shirt. He completed his look with sea-foam green cargo pants and sneakers. The sleek shoe style was decorated with gray accents and sat on a chunky outsole.
When it comes to fashion, Holmes is known for her classic style, often re-wearing beloved pieces all year round. As for shoes, she alternates a timeless selection of Adidas sneakers, Gucci loafers and Bottega Veneta mules.
