No matter how hard we try, we can no longer avoid it: winter is coming.
While we already shiver at the thought of freezing temperatures, there’s a looming cold silver lining: we can finally wear our favorite boots.
Speaking of which, we might just have found the perfect pair. With a sturdy studded sole and waterproof exterior, buyers at Nordstrom say these Blondo ankle boots (store here in Canada, shop here in the United States) are the “perfect” shoes for cold weather.

The details
Wet and snowy conditions are no match for these stylish Blondo boots, thanks to their sturdy sole and weather-resistant exterior.
Blondo’s AquaProtect seal protects leather against water and the harmful effects of calcium and salt, making it a great choice for rain, puddles and slush. The boots come with a spiked platform sole and two 1/4 inch heel to keep you on the ground on icy sidewalks.
Blondo Dagger boots are available in six colors from Nordstrom US and four colors from Nordstrom Canada, including black, taupe and sand.
What buyers are saying
While the Blondo boots garnered only a few reviews, early Nordstrom buyers dubbed them the “perfect all-rounder boots†and gave them a perfect 5-star rating.
These are my “new favorite boots for fall,†one user enthuses. “They’re super stylish and incredibly comfortable. I bought them in black, but I’m definitely going to take another color.”
“They are very comfortable! No break-in was necessary,” swears another buyer. “I walked about 10 miles a day in these bad boys, and looked good doing it all while staying dry.”

Nordstrom recommends ordering half a size up in boots as they tend to be small.

Verdict
Although it’s still early days since this is a relatively recent arrival, so far Nordstrom buyers seem to agree that these CA $ 190 / US $ 150 leather ankle boots are comfortable, stylish and you make you ‘feel unstoppable’ – however, since they tend to fit small, you can order half a size up.
