Katie Holmes managed to incorporate a pop of color into a full fall outfit on the set of her new movie “Rare Objects” in New York City.
The actress, who plays, co-writes and directs the film, dressed for the cold in a thick beige turtleneck and a pair of wide black jeans. She added a touch of vibrant tones to the look with her multi-colored coat. The woolen jacket gave a woven effect with the blue, pink and beige hues overlapping. On the shoe side, the star wore a pair of pointed toe leather ankle boots.
Holmes is no stranger to wearing casual looks when on duty. She was spotted in comfy sets of posh directors in New York on several occasions while filming. Last week, the former “Dawson’s Creek” wore a purple blouse with ruffles around the collar and sleeves. She slipped the shirt into the same black jeans. She accessorized with a belt that boasted a large gold buckle. This time, however, she traded the boots for a pair of comfy white sneakers.
According to Variety, “Rare Objects” follows the story of a young woman, who will be interpreted by Julia Mayorga, who begins working in an antique store in an effort to rebuild her life after a traumatic past. Holmes co-wrote the screenplay for the film, which is based on a novel of the same name by Kathleen Tessar.
