The French actress, 68, channeled the biker chic with black pants and a matching leather jacket that she paired with a white t-shirt as she headed to the Italian town.

Getting off the water taxi, Isabelle strutted down the boardwalk in chic heeled boots, making her last appearance at the star-studded festival.

The 2021 Venice Film Festival runs from September 1-11 and is considered one of the oldest awards ceremonies in the world and one of the “Big Five†events.

The star is known for playing vile characters and she recently said she would like to play a Disney villain.

However, the actress would like to make any potential character a little “nicer” if she appeared in a movie from the legendary studio.

She told Variety, “It’s scarier when you make them a little more lovable and attractive and more manipulative instead of doing it like a classic villain.”

The jury for this year’s festival is headed by Parasite director Bong Joon Ho, who said he was “honored to be involved in his beautiful cinematic tradition”.

“As president of the jury – and especially as a perpetual cinephile – I am ready to admire and applaud all the great films selected by the festival. I am filled with sincere hope and excitement.

The jury is also made up of director Saverio Costanzo, actress Virginie Efira, star Cynthia Erivo, actress Sarah Gadon, documentary filmmaker Alexander Nanau and director Chloé Zhao.

This year’s festival also invited two Afghan filmmakers, Sahraa Karimi and Sahra Mani, to discuss the Taliban takeover of the country, with “particular attention to the plight of filmmakers and artists,” at a panel to be held on September 4.

The theme of the panel will be “the plight of Afghan filmmakers and artists in general, the need to create humanitarian corridors and the guarantee of the granting of political refugee status, as well as the concern for their future and the need to provide for their accommodation once they arrive in Europe.

Oscar-winning Italian director Roberto Benigni, who directed the acclaimed film Life is Beautiful, will also be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

In a statement, he said, “My heart is full of joy and gratitude. It is a great honor to receive such important recognition for my work from the Venice International Film Festival. ‘

This year’s festival also saw the big comeback of its star-studded red carpet premieres, after last year’s event was drastically reduced due to the Covid pandemic.
