Rihanna Is Chicly Undercover at A$AP Rocky Wireless Festival in Boots – Footwear News

Rihanna made an almost undercover comeback this week, arriving at the Wireless Festival to support A$AP Rocky. The nine-day rap music festival, which takes place in London, features a 2022 lineup with Rocky – which also includes Jack Harlow, Nicki Minaj and SZA.

As he strolled through the crowds on the London festival grounds surrounded by security, the ‘We Found Love’ singer was seen wearing a puffy black Prada jacket. Long-sleeved outerwear seemed to be worn with black jeans for a casual touch to festival outfits. The singer’s ensemble was completed with what appeared to be chunky silver accessories: a chain-link necklace and rounded hoop earrings.

As far as footwear goes, Rihanna appeared to continue her dark fashion history in a pair of wedge boots. The style apparently featured black leather uppers, pointed toes, and triangular wedge heels that probably totaled 3-4 inches in height. The wedge-heeled silhouette is certainly ready for a comeback, with pairs recently worn by Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lopez and Sofia Richie – and new wedge sandals, pumps and boots from brands such as Emilio Pucci, Jimmy Choo and Gianvito Rossi.

The “We Found Love” singer’s appearance at the Wireless Festival marked one of her firsts following the birth of her child with Rocky in early May. Rihanna’s pregnancy style included a range of designer shoes, from Air Jordan sneakers to Manolo Blahnik lace-up sandals and Amina Muaddi thigh-high boots. A hotly debated topic of footwear during pregnancy, her advocacy for wearing heels – as well as risque, glamorous and dramatic clothing during pregnancy – has since created widespread discussion about the importance of individualistic dressing and what constitutes maternity clothes.

For Rihanna, no shoe is too bold – or too high heeled. The “Rated R” musician has worn a wide range of footwear over the years, including high heels and chunky sneakers. In addition, she has been a collaborator, campaign star and muse for major brands such as Dior, Chanel and Manolo Blahnik.
