Do you like cycling podcast? Unique jerseys? Check out MAAP’s new limited-edition designs celebrating podcast co-founder Richard Moore.
Richard Moore had a significant impact on the world of cycling. The co-founder of The cycling podcast – one of cycling’s most influential news programs – Moore has become a household name in the sport.
Tragically, Moore passed away in March 2022. One of his last projects involved a collaboration with MAAP to create a unique and fun activation for this year Tour de France. His idea has now resulted in a “Jersey Voting.”
Essentially, the cycling community can vote for their favorite from multiple Cycling Podcast team jerseys. Different eras of cycling inspired the different choices, but the winning jersey will also feature a buffalo design in honor of Moore’s nickname.
As Alan Pattullo explained in a loving tribute in The Scotsman:
The Buffalo was the nickname given to Richard because of his ability and eagerness to get out there and get the job done, whether it was interviewing riders or making evening meal reservations after a long and arduous day staying just ahead of the peloton. It’s a mission that takes a lot more courage and zest than just sitting in a press box for 90 minutes.
Jersey options
Voters can choose from three jersey options: check, dot or fade. Plus, adding your vote means a chance to win the entire collection from MAAP’s longtime collaboration with The Cycling Podcast. Voting closes on July 24, with the results announced by The Cycling Podcast on air shortly after the peloton arrives in Paris.
If you’re on commercial break after watching the Tour de France, consider taking a moment to vote for your favorite jersey. This is an opportunity to support the podcast while remembering one of the most passionate voices in the cycling industry.
Participate in this and vote for your favorite MAAP The Cycling Podcast jersey.
