Through six television seasons and two films, Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic style and undeniable penchant for footwear has forever changed the way we dress. And now, more than two decades later “Sex and the city “ Airing for the first time, fans got a chance to get a taste of what Carrie would actually wear these days.
This is all thanks to the reboot of the series titled “And Just Like That”, which began filming in July and will air this year on HBO Max. Images of the actors filming on set have been leaked, including by Sarah Jessica Parker herself.
This time around, fashion dynamo Patricia Fields was replaced by Molly Rogers as the show’s costume designer. From what we’ve seen, there are a few key sartorial themes left – for example, Carrie’s love for Manolos and vintage Chanel boots – but it looks like her character has acquired a new obsession with platform shoes as well. (which makes sense, as they made a big comeback for fall 21.)
And while we’d say the show would be sloppy without plenty of high heel moments (after all, they’re a Carrie staple), Parker was also spotted on set wearing low heeled shoes and even flats like a possible nod to Covid- the clothing trends of the time.

Custom Duchessa Gardini pumps
While filming a scene with Chris Noth aka Mr. Big, Parker wore a pair of bespoke pumps by Italian shoemaker Duchessa Gardini. The pointed toe style is done in a steel gray finish with an embellished accent at the toe. To nail the look, try a pointy-toe pump in the same shade from Calvin Klein. For a Carrie-inspired ensemble, follow the character’s lead and pair the shoes with an eccentric bird-themed headpiece, boat neck bodysuit, and voluminous polka dot skirt (hers is from Carolina Herrera).

Terry de Havilland sequined platforms
As sustainable and ethical fashion has become paramount for consumers, many fans were not satisfied when images surfaced of Parker wearing a dress on the set of the fast fashion chain Forever 21 (over the years, the company has been criticized for having contributed to saving waste and having poor working conditions). Less controversial but equally eye-catching, however, were the multi-colored platform sandals she wore with the dress. Manolo Blahnik Hangasi Pump
Famous worn by Carrie on her wedding day in the movie “Sex and the City”, Manolo Blahnik’s Hangisi pumps will return to the reboot. During a shoot at the end of July, Parker wore the satin blue version of the pumps with cropped emerald green gaucho pants, a cream blazer, and a pink faux-blue Chanel pin (which her character originally wore in Season 3 of the original series). Manolo Blahnik BB 105 leather pump
Apart from Manolo Blahnik’s Hangisi, the first pictures show Parker in the BB pumps (who are also beloved by celebrities like Reese Witherspoon, Meghan Markle and Victoria Beckham). Parker wore the black leather version of the silhouette with a four-inch heel – which turned out to be the perfect addition to her vibrant fuscia-colored Carolina Herrera dress, studded belt and emerald green clutch.

Birkenstock Madrid
From wearing heeled athletic shorts to a belt around her bare waist, Carrie is known to pull off just about anything. So it’s no surprise that she’s able to tweak the often-despised socks and sandals trend. On August 25, Parker was spotted wearing a fringed top, flowing skirt and striped socks paired with The Madrid of Birkenstock sandal – which also pays homage to the “ugly sandal†craze of recent seasons. Pictured with Cynthia Nixon (aka Miranda) in the first behind-the-scenes footage, Parker wore one of the hottest figures of Fall 21: the Mary Jane pump. The Celine version she wore, which debuted last year, adopts a momentous platform and three thin front straps with gold buckles. Farrah Saint Laurent sandals
Speaking of platforms, Parker was spotted in a sandal version of Saint Laurent on July 15. Carrying the same name as the iconic model that, like the platform trend, rose to fame in the ’70s, the Farrah sandal features a high block heel, crossed straps and a textured leather finish. Chanel Vintage Leather Boots
These vintage Chanel leather ankle boots are also coming back from the SATC archives. In Season 6, Carrie wore them with a ruffled tulle skirt and corset for a dinner party with Alexandr Petrovsky, as well as a knit dress and bare legs to call Miranda from Paris. In the season one of “And Just Like That”, it looks like Carrie will be donning these vintage ankle boots again with a voluptuous tulle skirt and now a colorful striped top for a slightly more relaxed effect.
