It was a good Week 1 for NFL fans. Not only did they see their favorite team take to the pitch for the first time in months (and maybe this year for some), but they added some new threads to their jersey collection.
According to Fanatics, gear sales jumped over 35% from week 1 last year. A lot of that can be attributed to the jerseys, which also saw a nice boost in numbers. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, new Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has sold the most jerseys heading into the 2020 campaign.
Brady’s replacement in New England, Cam Newton, came second. Reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes and league MVP Lamar Jackson finished third and fourth, respectively. San Francisco 49ers passing thrower Nick Bosa rounded out the top five.
