Santini Cycling Wear and Unipublic presented the official La Vuelta 22 leader jerseys.

The shirts were presented yesterday, June 14, at the La Grupetta store in the Parque Comercial Rio Norte shopping center in the Spanish capital.

The four kits designed and manufactured by Santini for the flagship stages of the race which take place from August 19 to September 11 this year have also been revealed.

“We are delighted to be dressing the great champions of La Vuelta again this year,” said Monica Santini, CEO of Santini Cycling Wear, “and to be here today at this event to celebrate six years of very successful partnership. !”

Javier Guillén, General Manager of La Vuelta, said: “Following a successful six-year collaboration which has been beneficial for both parties. The jerseys are the identity sign of the race, especially the leader’s jersey of La Roja. These, along with the special commemorative editions, make us truly proud that Santini dresses our champions.

In addition to the official jerseys, Santini also manufactures several special kits dedicated to specific iconic stages of La Vuelta every year, including jersey, shorts, socks and gloves.

The Asturias kit celebrates the eighth stage of the Spanish race which crosses the northern region and has a new finish line in Colláu Fancuaya. The Victory Cross also appears on the shirt and shorts. Stage 10 of La Vuelta 22 is a 31.1 kilometer time trial from Elche to Alicante – this kit was inspired by the Muralla Roja, a post-modern building on the Alicante coast designed by the architect Ricardo Bofil in the early 1970s.

Dedicated to the queen of this edition of La Vuelta, the Sierra Nevada kit celebrates this difficult climb. The white and green of the Andalusian flag served as inspiration this time. The kit will also feature a design inspired by the statue of the Virgen de las Nieves (Madonna of the Snows) at the top of the Hoya de la Mora climb.

The finish line of La Vuelta 22 is in Madrid, the star of the kit Santini dedicated to the last stage. It features the city’s coat of arms of a bear and a strawberry tree. The kit is red with a touch of orange as a nod to the Netherlands, host of the first three stages of the race.

Santini has also created three cycling accessories to coordinate with these kits: a jacket, a windproof vest and a cap with a multicolored multi-stripe pattern. For leisure, there is also a white t-shirt with colored stripes.

Replicas of the leader’s jerseys and the four special kits will be available for purchase on the Santini website and in select cycling stores around the world.
