Santini Cycling Wear and Unipublic presented the four official La Vuelta 21 leader’s jerseys yesterday, May 5, at the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela in the Spanish capital.
Five Santini kits dedicated to five of the highlights of the Iberian race were also unveiled. In addition, two other jerseys were presented, which will be worn at the Ceratizit Challenge by the women’s champions of La Vuelta.
“The partnership between us and the prestigious Spanish race, which has lasted for five years now, is something of which we are particularly proud,†said Paola Santini, Marketing Manager, Santini Cycling Wear, “as it confirms our unwavering commitment to cycling professional and dress up great champions.
The official jerseys for the 2021 event will be made in the Santini factory in Bergamo from recycled fabrics: Ecofabric RECY de Corno, an environmentally friendly fabric spun from recycled yarns recovered from materials that have been used or discarded in the environment, and Sitip’s Native, Ecoknit which is made from recycled fibers and yarns without the use of polluting chemicals.
In addition to the official jerseys, Santini also manufactures each year several special kits dedicated to the “most emblematic†stages of La Vuelta. The five kits include a jersey, bib shorts, socks, cap and gloves as well as a cotton t-shirt.
