Lizzo’s Flute is back and our Friday is done.

Yesterday, the singer once again showed her flute skills by giving her own personal remix to her new hit song, “Rumors” with Cardi B. In typical Lizzo fashion, however, she had to go deeper and deeper. daring for performance and broke one of her most daring looks to date.

More New Shoes

The outfit included a studded patent leather corset top and black fringed denim shorts. The outfit is inspired by this season’s new appreciation for corseted silhouettes and bustier styles, spotted on everyone from Kourtney and Kim Kardashian to Beyoncé and Megan Fox in the past few weeks alone.

The final touch to Lizzo’s bold look came in the form of slick thigh-high boots. The black leather pair featured a coating of metallic silver studs as well as a block heel base.

Over-the-knee and over-the-knee boots are the must-have boot silhouettes this season. From on-trend leather cables to edgy lace-up styles, you can find the tallest shoes on everyone from Ciara to Lily Collins and Gwen Stefani among other big names. In cold weather, the silhouettes provide coverage to counter skirts, dresses and shorts, as well as an extra layer for any leggings or jeans look.

As for Lizzo, for the original “Rumors” video, her look included a gold-plated catsuit formed from a fully sheer fabric and draped overlays in the shape of a white gown. Her ensemble also included a crown-shaped headdress and flat gladiator sandals. Gladiator sandals gained a reputation thousands of years ago when they were first worn by Roman veterans who wore the now recognizable silhouette – think cage-like straps and generally flat soles.

When it comes to Lizzo’s style repertoire, the hit singer’s closet includes a wide variety of successful designer brands. From modeling Marc Jacobs at the Met Gala to performing on stage in a Christian Siriano ball gown and Stuart Weitzman combat boots adorned with bespoke Swarovski crystals, his style is nothing but ordinary. The “Truth Hurts” musician is also featured in campaigns for Absolut Vodka, Khloe Kardashian’s Good American brand and Urban Decay makeup.
