Power couple Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker were seen arriving at the Ritz Hotel on Sunday night in New York after a trip to Italy. Their arrival comes a day before the Met Gala on May 2, which could very well explain their stay at the hotel.

The ‘Kardashians’ star was seen walking hand-in-hand with hubby Barker in a grungy couple’s outfit. Kardashian wore a silky white dress with an asymmetrical hem under an oversized matte black bomber jacket. The social media personality wore the pants trend under the dress, pulling on black pants under the silky briefs. The style is grungy and layered, bringing life and volume to the slip dress.

Kardashian tops things off with black sunglasses and a black mini bag and what appears to be a Versace wallet sticking out from the edge of the bag. With a little help from Barker, it looks like the Kardashians have embraced a grunge aesthetic these days, making it their mission to match the Blink-182 drummer’s raw styles.
The pair appeared together mostly in black, and largely passing the color for a post-punk style. Barker wore a distressed black t-shirt, black skinny jeans and chunky black sunglasses. The musician also wore a heavy gold chain.

Kardashian and Barker wore black shoes with a slight shine. Kardashian opted to step out in chunky black platform boots with a rounded, pronounced toe. Barker bets on a classic pair of creepers with a slight platform. Both shoe styles are very grungy indeed, giving the pair extra inches and, of course, a bolder presence. Chunky platforms are always a good idea for those looking to break in. The shoe attracts attention, and isn’t that the essence of the grunge movement?
