Koché turns AC Milan football shirts into a couture collection

0

The Koché brand has teamed up with Italian football club AC Milan and Puma for a capsule collection based on upcycling. Unsold Rossoneri jerseys are transformed into couture pieces for the occasion, ranging from t-shirts to denim jackets and dresses. The collection is set to land on February 28, marking the launch of Paris Fashion Week.

Founder of the Koché label, Christelle Kocher seems to have a romantic relationship with football. After collaborating with Paris Saint-Germain, the designer has teamed up with another fashion and football capital, Milan, for an entirely upcycled collection. AC Milan jersey surpluses are here combined with prints and denim to create a set of couture pieces, with the aim of giving them new life off the football pitch.

Less than 10 pieces make up this capsule collection that the brand already offers on its e-store. There are t-shirts, shorts, a denim jacket, pants, and two dresses in different lengths. All items are personalized with the famous red and black stripes of the Italian football club.

Familiar with upcycling long before the practice became widespread in the fashion industry, Christelle Kocher used to use surplus fabrics and other accessories and transform them into fashion creations. For this collection, AC Milan shirts are associated with fabric scraps from its own brand, allowing it to combine creativity and responsible fashion, while giving a second life to clothes that would not have been used otherwise. .

The fruit of this collaboration will be offered in a (very) limited edition, landing on February 28.
