I can’t afford any of her handbags, shoes, or cars, but hey, at least I can afford Kendall Jenner’s puffer jacket! With winter now in session and the air getting chilly, I’m forced to cover up my cutest sheer mesh crop tops and layer them on the gods with vests, coats and jackets galore.
It doesn’t have to be a bad thing for my aesthetic, though! I often find that a layered look can be particularly intriguing and a good coat over top really seals the deal. My recent online shopping orders have already provided me with the perfect camel coat for formal occasions and an awesome faux fur trim leather trench coat for brunch and photos, but I’m still on the hunt for a puffer jacket. classic to wear with everything from flared leggings and sneakers to denim and boots.
At least i has been research, until a quick Instagram scroll brings me to Kendall Jenner in the cutest cropped puff I’ve ever seen.
In a video posted to her News Feed, Jenner stars in another Alo ad campaign. She’s been working with the brand for a minute and their products match her style perfectly. You can say she’s a real ride or die for their clothes! This summer she had me buy an apple green tennis skirt, and it looks like this winter the Gold Rush Puffer will be the piece she’ll convince us all we can’t live without.
At first glance I just assumed she was all black, but closer inspection proved that she was in fact wearing Alo’s rich Espresso hue, the perfect chocolate brown homage to the trendiest shade of this season. Paired with straight leg sweatshirts and a scoop neck sports bra in the same shade, the puffer jacket was the perfect piece to take on a basic gym look and make it coveted.
Lucky for all of us, Alo has an entire page on their site dedicated to Kendall’s looks, but as a result, they’re often quite quick to sell. Luckily, her head-to-toe brown cut is still available, so I’m going to immediately buy the Gold Rush Puffer in Espresso.

Along with being Jenner-approved, this baby features a cinched waist, hidden zip pockets, and recycled DWR ripstop. If espresso isn’t your thing, it’s also available in a cool bluish gray or classic black.

Finally, snuggle up in the Accolade straight-leg track pants, available in four colourways. The snug feel of the brushed French terry makes them ideal for a lazy day, but Jenner is proof that you can style them just as quickly for a day on the go.
While surviving an entire pandemic has taught us nothing else, we now know full well that loungewear is an appropriate dress code for virtually any occasion. Running on the beach in sweatpants? Very good for me, as long as you take Jenner’s example and finish the look with a great jacket.
And yes, that is reason enough to justify purchasing Gold Rush Puffer in more than one shade before it runs out.
