Katie Holmes is ready for fall on the set of the upcoming “Rare Objects” movie on Thursday morning.
The 42-year-old star adapted Kathleen Tessaro’s historical fiction novel and is directing the film in Brooklyn. Getting used to the colder temperatures in New York City, Holmes snuggled up in an army green puffer jacket and dark wash boyfriend jeans. At her feet, she modeled a pair of dark brown leather boots with a double buckle closure, cutout details and camel studded soles. Holmes’ blue printed face mask adds a pop of color to her fall look.
When it comes to off-duty looks, Holmes always wears a casual uniform, such as oversized clothing and comfortable “ugly” shoes. His daily shoe collection includes Veja sneakers, New Balance “daddy” shoes, the iconic Gucci Ace Bee silhouette and Re / Done kicks to name a few.
At the red carpet events, however, Holmes maintains a similar laid-back vibe but in the minimalist version of high fashion. In September, Katie Holmes was stunned on the red carpet at the opening night of the 59th New York Film Festival for the “Tragedy of Macbeth” premiere. She wore a long-sleeved white Khaite maxi dress with a turtleneck and a pleated skirt. As for the shoes, Holmes added a pair of shiny red Khaite slides encompassing a gathered upper.
In the past, the former “Dawson’s Creek” actress has worn a mix of high and low fashions and styles, including Christian Siriano, Kate Spade, Ulla Johnson, Saint Laurent, Reformation, Chloe and Isabel Marant Étoile. She is also an Olay Brand Ambassador and has been the face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Miu Miu, Ann Taylor and other top brands throughout her successful career.
