When it comes to cozy and cozy fashion, model Kaia Gerber makes her outfits a science.

Often spotted wearing her athletic-inspired looks while traveling to Los Angeles, she typically wears her must-have leggings, sports bras and fleeces around town.

While enjoying a day out on Monday, the 20-year-old model once again turned to the Free People Hit The Slopes fleece jacket to keep warm.

Gerber rocked the jacket in an off-white hue and paired it with gray leggings and Nike Free Metcon 4 sneakers for a fall look that’s both sporty and chic.

Gerber has been spotted in several colors of the fleece jacket over the years (he even found his place in his video 7 Days, 7 Looks For Vogue), which makes it one of his most popular styles.

Inspired by Gerber’s love for the comfy fleece jacket, I decided to pick one for myself and see if it lives up to its hype.

I opted for the oversized fleece jacket in a neon shade of Tropical Pink when I found it in my second-hand size, and here’s what I thought about it.

First impressions

First of all, this fleece jacket is extremely comfortable and super soft, making it a perfect choice to take on a recent camping and road trip through Prince Edward County. Light enough to stay in my backpack but warm enough to withstand the early morning cold, I found myself searching for it almost every day of my trip.

I was initially worried that the color was too strong, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hot pink hue added a fun touch to my mostly blue, black and white wardrobe. I might have received a few funny looks from people on the street, but I also received my fair share of compliments from other fans of the jacket’s hot pink hue.

It was also a functional choice to have with me on the go, as the jacket has so many handy pockets. The zippered front pockets were large enough to hold my cell phone, wallet, keys and sunglasses without worrying about them falling out, while the smaller chest pocket is perfectly sized to store a face mask.

What others say

As well as being a hit among celebrities, the Hit The Slopes fleece jacket is also a favorite among Free People shoppers. So far, it has earned a 4.5 star rating on over 130 customer reviews and more.

“It’s the most comfortable thing I have ever owned!” Big plus, it’s so easy to style and the color is just so beautiful! Especially in love with all these pockets, â€said one reviewer.

“I love this jacket, but I was secretly hoping I wouldn’t so I could return it.” Once I tried it I couldn’t give it up. It’s lightweight with lots of pockets and just the right length for high waisted pants, â€shared another.

Many buyers have noticed that this jacket sizes slightly large, so if you prefer a more fitted look, you will want to reduce the size before purchasing.

“Obsessed with this jacket. I wasn’t sure which size to choose (S or M), I’m 5’7 “135 pounds and decided to go with the small one. The medium looked good too, but a bit too oversized as the style of the jacket is already oversized, â€revealed one reviewer.

I agree with the reviews that you can definitely get by a size down as I bought my jacket in an XS rather than my usual size small and was always able to layer it over a sweatshirt- shirt if necessary.

Since this jacket is available in so many different colors and patterns, you can find one to suit any style, just in time for fall.
