Julianne Hough put a street style spin on the camel coat trend when she visited New York on Sunday. The “Dancing With the Stars” alum stepped out in style in an ankle-length coat in the Big Apple. Basic outerwear was complete with oversized sleeves and large square pockets.
The “Safe Haven” star wore the jacket over a white knit top. To stick with a laid-back, casual vibe, she slipped into a pair of light-colored baggy pants. Hough continued with a neutral aesthetic, touting her essentials in a small cream handbag.
She pulled her hair up in a high bun and added coverage for her eyes with round frames and added a gold choker necklace and small chunky hoop earrings.
To complete her look, a pair of black leather notched-soled boots. The shoe style featured a chunky outsole and a sturdy edge. Lugged sole boots have become a hot trend this season, due to their full coverage and chunky soles. Many brands, including Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta and Gucci, have taken their style a step further by introducing options with cleated soles, a thicker version of the original ridged combat boot soles.
Hough tends to gravitate toward glamorous, laid-back pieces. As for shoes, she’ll likely complete her wardrobe with strappy sandals and point-toe pumps from affordable brands like Femme LA, Kurt Geiger and Free People. When she’s not on duty, you’ll likely surprise her with mules and heeled sandals from Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade and Franco Sarto. She can also be seen in a range of sports sneakers from Hoka One One, Under Armor and other sports brands.
