The first lady’s ensemble consisted of a white midi dress with a faux neckline which she layered under a denim-colored structured long-sleeve blazer with a high collar; it incorporated white stitching along the collar, pockets and buttons that added visual interest to the fitted outerwear.

The blazer collar was embroidered with the same white stitching with a leaf pattern accompanied by dazzling blue buttons serving as a closure for each cuff. The two whimsical additions added a delicate touch to the otherwise structured and sharp overlay piece, slightly softening the formal wear.
