New Delhi: The 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) is scheduled to be played from March 26. The tournament final will be played on May 29. The addition of two new teams – Lucknow and Ahmedabad – made the league a 10 – team affair. The teams are divided into two groups. Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants have been kept in Group A, while Group B includes Chennai Super Kings, Hyderabad Sunrisers, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings of Punjab and Titans of Gujarat.

In Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, a total of 70 matches will be played in Mumbai and Pune. The venues for the playoff matches have not yet been announced by the BCCI. 20 league matches will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, while 15 matches will be played at Brabourne Stadium. 20 matches will be played at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai while 15 matches will be played at MCA International Stadium in Pune.
