Golden Knights jerseys ranked 2nd worst in NHL by fan poll

The fans have spoken. The Vegas Golden Knights home jerseys, which are all but confirmed gold in 2022-23, were voted the second worst uniforms in the NHL in a recent fan poll by fresh hockey.

Fans were asked to rate all 32 NHL team uniforms on a scale of 1 to 10, and the Golden Knights finished with an average of 4.0 out of 10. Over 3,000 votes were counted.

Only the Anaheim Ducks were ranked lower than the Golden Knights. Here are the results:

A few takeaways I have:

– I’m surprised to see the Chicago Blackhawks so low. Back when they won the Stanley Cup, and before the dismantling of their current roster and the scandals, it was widely believed that the Blackhawks had the best jerseys in the NHL.

– The Avalanches are too high and the Jets are too low. Again, I think people let their biases about the quality of these teams affect how they think about the jerseys themselves. They are two separate things.

– Am I the only one who remembers when people hated Kachina Coyotes jerseys?

– For the Golden Knights, I understand why people are not fans of pure gold jerseys. But I will say that the survey itself did not provide a photo of every shirt people voted for.

I bring this up because I’m willing to bet a lot of people don’t realize VGK is going gold and may have voiced their opinion on the houses’ old gray jerseys instead.

If you need a refresher on all of the Golden Knight’s cosmetic changes for the upcoming season, we’ve got you covered. New home jerseys, rumored reverse retros, Circa Sports crest, home ice logo, and more.

Back to the survey, JFresh also did this last offseason and comparing and contrasting the two, the Golden Knights fell dramatically with the Edmonton Oilers on the rise.

If you’re curious about what my rough ranking would be, look no further.
