As the host of the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, Doja Cat wore plenty of eye-catching outfits, each one surpassing the next, but it’s her latest outfit that ruffles a few feathers.

At the ceremony on Sunday night, Doja Cat donned a variety of daring outfits that seemed to come straight off the podium. One of them made him wear a chair as a hat; another made her look like a worm. It’s about the VMAs, an award ceremony that has notoriously pushed the boundaries of fashion. hat) made sense in a way.

Her final outfit, which she wore after the Machine Gun Kelly performance, follows a similar pattern. Part of the outfit looked like your standard parade marching band: a gallon hat, a suit jacket worn as a dress. But when you get to his boots, this is where things get interesting.

Knee-high boots are shades of pink, blue, and orange, but what makes them so unusual is the heel. Instead of a wedge or stiletto to give the boot its arch, it relies on plenty of points to boost its size. And there’s really no getting around that: the boots look like a set of chicken claws.

Not practical? Absoutely. But you can’t deny, no matter what you think of them, that they are pitfalls.

And soon enough, the chicken jokes left the henhouse.

As screenshots of Doja Cat’s shoes went viral, a tweet from @ M4kkTruck stating that “streets saying dojas wore them” at VMAs as well as two photos of the same knee-length claw heels resurfaced .

While we have to wait a full year to see what kind of fashion celebs bring to VMAs, next year’s host has his work cut out for him if he even remotely contemplates outdoing those talons.
