Dimapur, November 6 (EMN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Sunday officially released the Nagaland team game kit and jerseys for the upcoming 2n/a The North East Olympics will be held in Shillong, Meghalaya from November 10-16e.

The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) informed in an update that the kit and uniforms were designed and conceptualized by NOA’s in-house design team in conjunction with Kaki Marketing’s design team led by Kakivi. Shishi.


The Nagaland team’s theme is “Stronger Together” and the jerseys feature the artwork of renowned Naga artists Akup Buchem from Longleng district.

The artwork printed on the back of the Nagaland Track Jacket is a depiction of Naga shawls tied together with the message “Stronger Together”.

Out of 18 sports disciplines at the Northeast Olympics 2022, Nagaland contingents will compete in 17 sports disciplines, including archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, cycling, football, golf, judo, karate, lawn tennis, shooting, table tennis, taekwondo, weightlifting, wrestling and wushu.

The models who displayed the uniforms for the outing are sportsmen who have been selected to represent Nagaland at the North East Olympics. The role models are Shekhotolu (badminton), Tovali (badminton), Kisino (table tennis), Nodeto (cycling), Seyievizo Kire (basketball) and Keheihingbe (wushu).

According to NOA, the team’s kit includes a tracksuit, travel and semi-formal tee and shorts, competition uniforms with tops and bottoms, training/racing shoes and socks, bag sports backpack, a sports bag and a sports cap.

Specialized sporting disciplines like cycling and wrestling received separate competition kits and shoes. Spikes and shoes were also provided for specialist athletics events. Imported cycles and equipment were provided to the cycling team and tennis rackets were provided to the tennis players.

“The Nagaland sports fraternity under the banner of the Nagaland Olympic Association wishes the team every success and calls on the citizens of Nagaland to provide moral and prayerful support to all young athletes and spokespersons who will represent the ‘State,’ he said.
