Our opinion

Quality jersey from the Italian clothing brand, but could use more reflectivity

Advantages:
Comfortable; quality

The inconvenients:
A little more welcome reflectivity on the non-fluorescent option

The Castelli Cubi Long Sleeve Jersey is designed for cooler days on the bike and recommended for a temperature range of 12°C to 18°C / 54°C to 64°F.

The Cubi is the professional version of Castelli’s long sleeve winter jersey and its “Warmer” fabric is a modern incarnation of the classic Roubaix, being a tightly woven outer layer polyester with a brushed fleece lining. It is the ideal fabric worn alone or under a shell depending on the temperature.

The main torso fabric is thick, while the sidewalls use twin panels of a lighter, high-stretch fleece material called X-Stretch, for added warmth and maneuverability.

This allows for a snug fit, with the elastic waistband holding everything in place; That said, this being Castelli’s professional fit, I would suggest sizing up a size.

The fabric is excellent at wicking away sweat, although it is absorbent when caught in a stiff shower.

It has three back pockets and the YKK zipper is weatherproof, but it lacks a wind flap on the back or a garage at the collar.

My green color version also lacks reflectivity, although there is a hi-vis neon alternative.

All in all, the Cubi Jersey is a solid option for colder days.
