Beyoncé is back.
The iconic singer sent shockwaves through her fanbase on Thursday when she announced that her next album, titled ‘Renaissance’, will be released on July 29.
Alongside the news, Bey covers the July 2022 issue of British Vogue, sitting on horseback in a black Harris Reed feathered headpiece and black velvet dress.
Editor Edward Enninful described the inspiration for the photoshoot as “a fashion fantasy drawn from the tropes of club life over the last quarter of the last century” including “disco balls, light boxes, headdresses”.
He added that Beyoncé “wanted to play with fashion like never before.”
Indeed, she delivered.
In the pages of the magazine, the Grammy winner, 40, wears a sculptural coat covered in gold sequins by Schiaparelli Haute Couture paired with matching planetary earrings by the brand. She finishes off the heavenly look with choppy bangs and golden lip color.
She also wears a silk corset, sequined leggings and a silk train, all by Harris Reed, accessorized with a pink version of the designer’s feather headpiece and platform boots made in collaboration with Roker while she was sitting on top of a large disco ball in another shot.
Finally, in a gothic twist, Beyoncé poses atop a motorcycle in an all-leather look, including a patchwork leather jacket by Junya Watanabe, Commando vinyl leggings, Harris Reed & Roker platform boots and a helmet. beaded leather with silver studs by Malakai.
If these looks are any indication of Bey’s new era, they’re sure to be glamorous and playful.
The superstar hinted at the title of his seventh studio album last year in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, saying, “With all the isolation and injustice of the past year, I think we’re all ready to get away, travel, love and laugh again.”
“I feel a renaissance emerging and I want to help nurture that escape in any way I can,” she said.
