Mark: BAPE x Timberland
To buy: Online and in-store at Timberland, as well as select BAPE resellers on August 21
Editor’s Notes: After collaborations with Havianas, Coach, ASICS and of course Highsnobiety, BAPE is teaming up with Timberland for Fall / Winter 2021. BAPE’s Japanese streetwear heritage is combined with Timberland know-how and comes together to reinterpret two silhouettes classic.
Both iterations are made using Timberland’s “Better Leather,” sourced from independent tanneries audited and assessed by the Leather Working Group for their responsible water, energy and waste management practices. Other materials include its ReBOTL ™ fabric, made from 50% recycled plastic, and Primaloft® insulation made from 55% post-consumer recycled materials.
The premium waterproof Chukka boot features BAPE’s signature camouflage print and features the shoe brand’s recognizable “Wheat” color. The tongue is finished with co-branded patches, and the side features BAPE’s BAPE STA logo in dark brown leather. The perfect marriage of functionality and streetwear, the collaborative version of the iconic boot is timeless with a twist.
For the 3-eyelet hand-sewn shoes, the same pattern and print is incorporated, but features green lacing throughout the boat-inspired silhouette, adding a unique pop of color that contrasts with the earthy tones
The BAPE x Timberland collaboration is slated for release on August 21, both online, in Timberland stores, and at select BAPE resellers.
