The Astros are adding a 60th anniversary patch to their uniforms this season. The patch, which honors the 60th anniversary of Major League Baseball’s arrival in Houston, will be on both caps and jersey sleeves.

“We are thrilled to celebrate 60 years of Astros baseball in 2022,” Astros senior vice president of marketing and communications Anita Seghal said in a statement released by the team. “Our club has a rich history here in our home of Houston and we look forward to celebrating and highlighting all of these accomplishments with our fans throughout this historic season.”

The orange logo with blue border features a giant 60 with the state of Texas inside the zero over 60. It also includes the Colt .45s logo from when the team started play in 1962 as well as the Astros logo current.
