Are the Pittsburgh Steelers more dangerous in their Color Rush jerseys?

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be deploying their “Color Rush†uniforms for the first time this season and the eighth time in their history. The super popular combination has had some very successful results, with the Steelers going 6-1 with a 196-120 point differential. The only flaw to that record came from a Duck Hodges departure in 2019 in which the Steelers still had a great chance to tie him at the end of settlement. Other than that, the Steelers typically control Color Rush games from thread to thread. Even close games against the Patriots and the second encounter with the Ravens saw the Steelers leading the game all day.

Maybe it’s the old philosophy that “if you look good you feel good, and if you feel good you play good” at work. Like the Steelers always play with a different energy level when playing these games. Color Rush games generally see a quick start on offense or defense, and players put in maximum effort with each snap. You can see the energy through your TV screens, you can also tell the players are excited all through the Color Rush jersey prep week. At this point, it can’t be a coincidence as to why they’re excited. Take a look at the history of the Steelers in Color Rush games below:

December 25, 2016 – 31-27 Victory over the Baltimore Ravens
November 16, 2017 – 40-17 Victory over Tennessee Titans
November 8, 2018 – 52-21 Victory over the Carolina Panthers
December 16, 2018 – 17-10 Victory over the New England Patriots
October 28, 2019 – 27-14 Victory over the Miami dolphins
December 15, 2019 – 17-ten Defeat at the Bison tickets
December 2, 2020 – 19-14 victory over the Baltimore Ravens

If the Steelers can eliminate the Bears on Sunday, their winning percentage in Color Rush uniforms would drop to 0.875. The likelihood of the Steelers wearing the uniform would also likely increase for a late-season clash the Steelers would need to win, much like in 2018 and 2019. I’d bet the game would take place in Week 17 of Sunday Night. Football against Cleveland browns in what could be a divisional championship game. But for the Steelers, if that’s the position they’re in, they can rest easy knowing they can take off their Color Rush uniforms.

But what do you think? Do you think the Steelers play better when they wear the Color Rush jerseys? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
